Gynecomastia
Enlarged breasts in men, gynecomastia, is very common, and can be caused by a number of factors. Male patients seeking breast reduction is not unusual. Men can be self-conscious about enlarged breasts. Reduction procedures to create a more proportional and masculine profile can alleviate discomfort and lead to more self-assurance. Surgical procedures have improved to the point of requiring no major incisions for most candidates.
Modern male breast reductions usually involve some liposuction and may require the breast gland itself to be reduced. The majority of gynecomastia reductions can be completed through small spot incisions and small nipple incisions.
Men are seeking cosmetic surgery more today than ever before. Dr Apesos is a firm believer in male cosmetic care and he not only can assist with surgical enhancement but he will recommend great skin care for his male clients.
Gynecomastia – aka Chest Implants
The insertion of pectoral implants to enhance an underdeveloped male chest is becoming more popular. The work can be performed under sedation with local anesthesia or under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure in much the same way that female breast enlargement is done. The implants are a solid, soft silicone polymer that can not migrate or affect your system. Before surgery the patient is test fitted with various sizes of implants to select the desired result and appearance.
Calf Implants
Dr Apesos uses either the choices of standard calf implants or he can actually design custom implants using sculpture model techniques. Calf implants are often desired to correct calf muscle asymmetries.
