BOTOX®
Botox® is an injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates wrinkles, frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet and thick bands in the neck.
A Botox® treatment is a simple, non-surgical procedure that relaxes the overactive muscles whose contractions cause the lines between your brows to form. Your face and your expressions are naturally you—without the furrows, creases, and wrinkles. Botox® treatments last up to four months.
Juvederm™
Juvederm™ is a semi-permanent injectable filler for treating facial wrinkles and plumping lips. Because Juvederm™ is water-soluble, it fills wrinkles and depressions in the skin with a natural substance while slowly being reabsorbed by the body.
Juvederm™ is a smooth gel made with a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Juvederm™ is injected under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel. Juvederm™ is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons with darkly pigmented skin.
Radiesse®
Radiesse® is made of calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a water-based gel and injected into the skin through a simple, safe, and minimally invasive procedure.
Radiesse® works below the skin’s surface to stimulate the body to produce new collagen. Radiesse® does more than just temporarily fill in facial lines and wrinkles – it actually provides facial volume. You get results that may last a year or more.
Restylane®
The Restylane family of products includes Restylane®, Restylane-L®, Perlane®, and Perlane-L®. These products can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane and Restylane-L may also be used for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years.
Fat Transfer
Another substance which can be injected or transplanted beneath lines or depressions is the patient’s own fatty tissue. The fat is removed by liposuction from virtually anywhere in the body. Since it is one’s own tissue, there is no risk of allergy or rejection. The fat cells actually improve the tissue’s health by acting as stem cells to rejuvenate the dermis. However, some of the fat injected in the area may not survive the transplant process, so usually more than one treatment is required.
Some of the injected fat does survive indefinitely, so after a series of injections, the correction can be quite satisfactory and long lasting. The injection of fat usually results in more swelling, discomfort and bruising than with off-the-shelf injectables.
